Reimagining Atlanta’s Innovation Ecosystem
About US!
The PIT’s mission is bold: To build an ecosystem where underinvested and underrepresented founders in Atlanta have support to innovate, scale, and lead businesses that create lasting economic and social impact.
Our impact? We’re aiming for $250 million dollars in investment, revenue, and M&A activity for Black founders in Atlanta over the next 5 years.
THE TEAM
-
Khadijah started The Nile List, an online discovery platform for Black-owned e-commerce brands. In 2021, The Nile List was acquired by Combs Enterprises and Empower Global, led by Sean “Love” Combs. As an entrepreneur, Khadijah has raised several million dollars in venture and crowdfunding, scaled teams by 20x, and built products with hundreds of thousands of users. She consults with a wide range of entrepreneurs, coaches early-stage founders, and is the Chief Operating Officer for The Majira Project, a business accelerator, backed by Boston Consulting Group, for underrepresented founders.
She currently is a General Partner at historic Fictive Ventures, raising $5 million dollars to invest in extremely early-stage Black startups, and she also runs the LIFT Incubator program for the Center for Black Entrepreneurship in Atlanta.
-
Founder of a venture-backed consumer startup launched in 2021, has been laying down roots in Atlanta since moving from New York City in 2018. With a proven track record of building and scaling teams, she’s deeply engaged in the founder journey that The PIT champions. Passionate about community building, Kimberly draws on her work with Villie—where she supports moms globally—to empower other businesses and founders across Atlanta.
